Ok I'll take up the "challenge" for the "eastcoasters" :0))

Sorry Chris I'm not having that, an "East Coast" station, whatever that is, 
has to beam east to get the distance in because generally they won't work as 
many Post Code mult's as a station more centrally place in the UK. You can't 
park the beams east and call CQ or you'll miss the mult's inland. This myth 
has already led to the rules being changed in one contest, if you perserve 
you'll end up with nobody coming on from down here.

In the same contest I worked 67 stations with 36 mult's, the station above 
me in IO94 worked 67 stations but had 53 mults, my distance total was 
greater than his but his mults took him way past me in total score. This 
contest balances distance against mults, and for the UK, tends to even out 
geographical location. Remember there are 124 possible postcode mults, and 
you can work any in GM or GI three times. Generally you'll work, DL, PA,ON, 
F, possibly LX & HB9, to the east. From your location in IO81 you pick up 
these near continent mults and the distance is further per QSO. Conditions 
have to be very poor for you not to do that. As for getting the largest 
number of mults, well I'd have expect that from a leading centrally placed 
station, in this contest. G4ZAP/p were further up the east coast and got one 
less with 113. The two other east coast portables got at least 10 less 
mults. Your arguement doesn't hold up I'm afraid, for this contest.

What is needed is for the current big increase in UKAC activity, to transfer 
to the other contests, and this doesn't seem to be happening. If that were 
to happen the number of UK postcode mults would rise significantly, to your 
benefit. But at the moment it seems stations are coming on working there 
club mates and disappearing.

As for the GJ "incident", that will be looked at manually by the 
adjudicators due to him only making one QSO. From his comment, he didn't 
copy the postcode correctly anyway.  I and one or two others were fortunate 
to work some ES, that's another random factor to effect the scores.

I've a lot of respect for David and Pete, and the way they conduct 
themselves on the air. I hope you ran this by them before posting.
