[UK-CONTEST] Long calls.

No can't be true, my call originally issued in 1966 to my Dad was GM3VCQ but
on moving to England in the 1970's he was issued with a new licence and his
call changed to G3VCQ, later he returned to Scotland and again his call and
licence changed to GM3VCQ. On retiring he moved to Kettering back into
England and guess what...yep your right his licence and call was updated
again to a G call. The call must reflect the main address the the station
and that's why it changes! Now another example is my own call, originally
ZB2IP on returning to the UK at the end of the 1980's I applied for a UK
call, at the time I was living in Scotland so my call became GM0MGW which
after a year or so was changed again when I moved to Sheffield. I don't
think any of this has changed but I believe you can do it yourself now
online and simply print off your new licence. Anyone know different?

interesting question - I believe that even if you've always lived in
Scotland and applied for you license using an address in Scotland, your
licence document would say G4WZG - but I'm open to being enlightened from
someone who falls into that category.
