Bob,

The bottom internal diameter is exactly 1 3/4 inch (well, for the Blue Sky
stuff it is). I happen to know because I bought the same imperial size ali
tubes and they presented a perfect push-fit to go inside the fibreglass
poles as part of our 40m 2 ele yagi system.

The Spiderbeam is larger, internal is 50mm and outside is 54mm (I recall).
Old and new money - apologies.

I always put the wires up the outside for ease of tuning / maintenance etc.
