Hi,

At the time of writing, a claimed score has been submitted for the 432MHz
Trophy contest from a group using a short contest callsign. There will
probably be more to come.

I hold an NoV for a group with a short contest callsign, however the 432MHz
Trophy contest is not on the list of recognised contests attached to the
NoV. So, although we entered, we decided not to air our short callsign. In
the event, we didn't do very well at all - there wasn't much activity to be
heard in IO94.

Short callsigns are permitted in this weekend's May 432MHz to 248GHz
contest, recently ended - however this is a different contest from the
432MHz Trophy even though the times overlap. What is the position? As the
432MHz Trophy contest is not listed on the NoV, would not any activity in
that contest would be outside the t's and c's. Or am I wrong? The last thing
I want is to upset the applecart, and I realise I could have asked this
question before the test and not afterwards.
