I drew the short straw this weekend and ended up working 12
hr shifts at Baldock (Ofcom's monitoring station)
so WPX this year has been a non-event, as far as an entry is
concerned.

I had a good opportunity to monitor C4N for quite a while
though, so the weekend was far from wasted!

C4N was/were definitely not transmitting more than one
signal on the same band at any one time. They were
interleaving/alternating between two frequencies, more than
likely on different arrays. Perhaps 14005 on Europe and
14065 on Japan. C4N was often much stronger on one of the
frequencies.

As there was only one transmitted signal at any time I
believe C4N was operating within the contest rules.

Whether it was within the spirit of the contest or not, that
is for others to decide.

I also have no connection with C4N; I personally think
contesting is about over-coming technical challenges,
raising the bar,
getting the most out of your station whilst playing by the
rules. I firmly believe they were within the rules and it
would be wrong
to penalize them, although I am not a lawyer.
