A pretty broad line I'd say. If that's wrong, then the whole cxoncept of
SO2V is wrong, not to mention SO2R. However when you indulge in such
practices, and you do not occupy the frequency immediately after a QRL?,
then you have lost it. That's the penalty and if you accept it, the
technique is imo a valid use of technology.
What CQ ( et al) need to do is concentrate ( even more) on catching the
real " cluster deniers" not impeding the valid use of technology, as has
e.g. been done in the Skimmer episode. We need more young contesters and
they will ( understandably imo) be deterred by technophobia.
