Human ingenuity in technical hobbies and sports allows one to develop
interesting and challenging methods to outclass your competitor but stay
within the rules, don't you think? F1 racing for instance..?

I think this is actually part of the sport, coming up with winning
strategies, techniques and technologies to stay within the letter of the
rule AND give yourself a competitive advantage. Brilliant.
