With temperature hitting 30 degrees down here in the South East, my wife and I spent most of Sunday afternoon enjoying a BBQ with friends. 
 
I did dip into the contest throughout the day using a modest setup this year - FT857 (100 watts) with 10m and 15m loft dipoles. 
 
I did not expect to get many replies to CQ's but was pleasantly surprised - including JA's and North America on 15m. 
 
Not sure what UK activity was like but from the serial numbers being sent by 'serious entry' overseas stations it did not seem high. I know it has been discussed before but there must be a way to make this contest more attractive to overseas entrants. Congratulations to all those UK and overseas entrants who stuck at it for most of the 12 hours !!
