As another long time supporter of this event (and its predecessors) I
also hope the Contest Committee will resist the temptation to abandon it
or to change its nature.
With 152 entries received already it has greater support than the Sprints!

In common with Ken & Andy I received a lot of "001's" from USA and
Southern American stations. The morning 15m opening to JA was good with
most call areas worked and a few other far-East callers logged. The KH6
was a welcome caller on 15m! The QSO Party produced plenty of W6's
during the late afternoon, but not as many as last year.

Although 10m was much better than for the last few years, it was still
rather disappointing, especially after the openings in CQWW RTTY a week
earlier. The signals coming out of Cyprus were amazingly strong as ever,
well done Steve and Brian.

Usual antenna system here, just a 4-ele tribander at 60 feet and entry
in the CW-only section.

267 Qs and I think 102 mults.

Knowing that I would be in the shack all day on Sunday precluded my
entering the Sprint. What little time I did have for Radio on Saturday I
devoted to giving points away in the Oceania Contest. Rather poor
planning to have 2 events counting for the HF Championship the same
weekend I feel. Not sure why so many sprints are included in the
Championship, when it is evident they are supported by very few. Why not
include a major Contest in the same way - CQWW or ARRL DX. The results
of the latter (both CW & SSB) are already published, so could have been
incorporated. Maybe a subject for discussion on Sunday?

Can anyone point me to the results of the March BARTG event? - I haven't
found them.
