I actually prefer the sprint format to the "normal" contests, I think smaller stations such as mine can compete with the "big guns" in the sprints if they use the right tactics and put out a reasonable signal.
I do think the EU Sprints need more publicity to encourage activity and as Steve said, the pilot frequencies need changing to suit current band-plans.
