[UK-CONTEST] SSB Field Day - G4SJM/P

I like the idea of Tenna Pants - ones that can be winched up and down with a
cranked handle. Could come in handy and solve the beer / run frequency
problem quite neatly.

We too had a good time over the weekend as G4SJM/P - only the second time
we've taken part in recent years but we got considerably more organised than
last time and managed a modest 351 Qs which was 70 up on last year and
getting our heads round the strategies of batting multipliers off worked
well in getting us a load more points than last time.

We had a 160 odd foot doublet strung between two masts with a tuner at the
bottom of it - once we had sorted out the dicky coax between the ops tent
and the tuner we were flying. Already looking forward to next year!

Tom, there are two options here:-

A) install the gear and fridge in the loo

B) Intravienous drip fed beer, and a space suit with internal nappies...

I'm not that far gone yet that I need tennapants., but have managed rather
well in single operator contests recently. (4m Trophy 6S section )

problems, usually causing loss of one's 'Run' frequency. I have overcome
this by installing an extension mic/key lead to the loo next door!

(well stocked) Just turn the chair and open the door....even keep a prized
bottle opener in the shack.
