Hi
I like the over kill method for a generator especially if cw is used. Allow 4 times your stated load current (4 KW min) with heavy cables i.e. 32 amp to as close to the equipment then a 13 amp multi socket straight to a 32 amp plug. Yes I know it is over kill but it will stop voltage dips that cause splatter if too big a dip occurs. If you use any lighting then low energy lamps (yes watch the RFI test first) and if ok watch for dips when you Key Down! If you hire for a weekend remember to get a service contact available 24/7 generators do fail. Try a 3 Kw setup but don't be surprised is there is a big dip.
Anything smaller is not worth the risk!
Use a long lead from the genny set to the Dist board to cut down voltage drop which will be more than you expect.
Let me know how you get on please it is a subject I am interested in thanks.
Good luck.

Think - If a Cardiac Arrest happened where you are now - where would the nearest AED be?

AEDs save lives..."The Resuscitation Council (UK) strongly recommends the implementation of early defibrillation. Increased provision of early defibrillation through the widespread deployment of AEDs is now considered a realistic strategy for reducing mortality from cardiac arrest due to ischaemic heart disease."
