[UK-CONTEST] 2012 UKAC = Rule changes

Hi,
No I'm not advocating that sort of rule. Location and choice of equipment
are things way beyond the control of CC.
I'm asking for things we do have some knowledge of being grouped together
under common parameters, not arbitary, simplistic groupings dependant on the
power of rigs past or present.
My point re ERP was that a station with one antenna and 100w, was equivelant
to two antennas and 50w, but the two stations would be in different sections
due to one having multiple antennas. There seems to be a feeling that if you
run a large array, you must also run high power.
Surely contesting is about improving your operating skills and your station,
as best your situation allows. If anyone lives on a hill top overlooking the
sea and runs 400w and 4x yagis with preamps and Helix, and no neighbours,
then good luck to them. I know I will never beat them because of my
location, and how far I can take that station in this location. Not a
problem.
So you've got personal circumstances and the the rules. The rules should as
far as practicable be fair to all.
73 Bob
