[UK-CONTEST] CQWW 160 CW - G3SJJ

Well you guys seem to be more sanguine about conditions than me !

I operated through the Friday night, but found US conditions very poor. Worked C6, KV4 and a number of US/VE stations, but even had to have three attempts to get KC1XX to hear me ! Could hear Az and Ca well, but no response. I think conditions were really quite poor and certainly no JA (just UA9s in quantity). Could not raise the XE's even though they were good copy here.

High spot of the Friday was being called by HK0NA right on his dusk.

Saturday I returned at around 17.00, but by 18.30 was CQing endlessly with very little Eu response. So in anticipation of another poor night to the US, I decided to give up the fight.

Perhaps my antenna is falling off, but I don't think so. I think condx were just very below-average.

Good to see you on Chris.

Don, G3BJ
