Could it be that the only parts of the exchange that
were totally unnecessarily speeded up were totally
unnecessary in the first place?   :-)

It's no wonder the Russians make good contesters.

Why does anyone exchange redundant information while
contesting?  Seems to me it's only because it's in
the rules, and some rules lost their relevance 40
years ago.

I think we should adopt "Reporting by Exception" in
contesting, as in good practice in other fields (pun).
In the absence of exchange information to the contrary,
your report is always 59(9).  And anyway, isn't that
what your logger has already pre-filled?
