[UK-CONTEST] June 23cm UKAC - Result

Last nights contest was blessed with above average conditions for a welcome change plus a great level of activity despite the time clash with the Ukraine v England Euro2012 group decider. 
Occasional glances at the shack TV didn't lose any contacts.

40 contacts, 14 UK Squares, 5 DXCC.

At least 13 GM's were active but missing Martin GM8IEM in IO78 via aircraft reflection proved costly. Two aircraft attempts also failed with Kjeld OZ1FF whereas the contact with Hans PA0EHG produced very strong reflected signals.
A number of east coast stations found tropo conditions across the North Sea to OZ and PA but nothing reached the west coast of Scotland.

Always nice to work a 23cm station for the first time and this months contest produced three. Peter G0VVE near Guildford plus G8BUN and G4IDR in Yorkshire. The increased 23cm activity is continuing to attract more operators to the band who are looking for a new and interesting challenge.
