Same as WinTest. As I said last year, I don't agree that the receiver should
lose points for a transmitted error, however it's caused.

You only need to type one letter in N1MM callsign field for it to display
the correct outgoing serial number. Without that single letter the programme
does not know that you are not trying to complete your previous QSO.  73

I use N1MM exclusively for HF logging and I never send a serial number until
all the recieved info is logged in the correct window so can never send the
wrong number, but I too have had several conteacts disallowed where serial
numbers logged differ by one from what the other station has logged and sent
in, so I think it is a general problem with sending from macros or even
sometimes by hand with any of the contest loggers.
 
On VHF I use Minos, but have had similar problems where I think incorrect
serials have been sent even with SSB.
 
I don't know how to check or correct the problem, unless we drop the serial
number requirement and go for district codes for HF or just QRA squares on
VHF.
