I concur with your conclusions completely, Clive It is very unlikely that any logging program would produce such errors Many ops prefer to hand send their exchanges for some reason which are prone to error I called someone in AFS and copied 74 instead of 73 so I wonder if his next caller received 74 correctly ! 73, Dave
