As you may have gathered I am again struggling with receiving e-mails from
various e-mail reflectors - including this one.

 

Currently, I cannot seem to receive my OWN posts to the uk-contest
reflector.  Previously, when testing last weekend, my tests coincided with
some problems with yahoo - and messages were delayed which confused things.
However, currently, I seem to be able to receive OTHER people's messages -
but not my own - despite having that option set to 'yes'  in my uk-contest
account.

 

I get the same thing with other e-mail lists (some public, some private) and
I am stuck to know why?  It must be something that I am (not) doing
correctly - but I can't see what. Is anyone who understands e-mail and who
is reading this able to offer some advice? (I'll happily phone you if you
let me know your contact details off list)

 

Here's the facts: I have subscribed to uk-contest using my new virgin media
e-mail address. It has all lower case letters / numbers. I can receive
password reminders to that address from the uk-contest e-mailer. I can
receive other people's posts to the reflector, but I cannot receive my own.
I use MS Outlook 2007 and my ISP is Virgin Media. Confused of Brighton......
