[UK-CONTEST] A very sad time!

Hi all I for one am deeply saddened by factions that want to split up the  
contest forum. Into VHF and HF. Its almost a case of them and us and reminds 
me  of the time I got my call. When I was repeatedly asked so when you 
doing  your CW then and getting a  "REAL" call? 
 
One would have thought that some 30 years + on things would change.  
Unfortunately there still is the them an us element. 
 
With the hobby dying on its feet in terms of the average age of us  
involved. We would do well to stick together. Where there is common ground. Next  
thing will be the ARDF events up in arms splitting the 2m and 80m events up! 
 
I firmly belive the RSGB convention is a better place with it being HF and  
VHF. I would ,I was one that pushed hard to get in there! 
 
The reflector worked well. As others have stated if you have no interest in 
 a thread there is always the delete button! I often use it! On the other 
hand I  have been know to look at some threads out of curiosity. 
 
So those of you who wish to drive a wedge among the Good Contest folks  
think long and hard. I feel your doing a large injustice.
