But haven't time to discuss, as we've been far too busy VHF Contesting over
the last few days, building one VHF contest station for last weekend, then
tearing it all down and preparing another VHF station for tomorrow.

I have up until this point refrained from commenting but I must say that
splitting HF and VHF reflectors is entirely a retrograde step IMO...there
is little, if anything,  to be gained from it whatsoever...the bickering
between the grand dames of the HF contesting glitterati and VHF contesters
brings on sudden desire to shoot myself in the head forthwith.

I am these days seldom a visitor to my local radio club due to this inane
type of whittering and whinging...I have over the years had hope that the
contest community (for it is a community both HF and VHF) would quite
frankly have the common sense and sangfroid to rise above it and put their
collective best feet forward on mutual issues...a move to separate such
collective endeavors is both nonsensical and  self-defeating.

Please reconsider...united we stand divided we fall...I feel it is as
simple as that.
