Yes, that is correct Don. Seems to me with the proliferation of short callsigns around the world it needs to be re-visited. I certainly don't think
the complicated rigmarole introduced last time is necessary, particularly with the spare availability there currently is.
I was very involved with the introduction of SCCs. As an aside, we weren't allowed to have direct communication with the DTI (the Ofcom of that time),
we had to liaise with RSGB LAC (Licence Advisory Committee) and answers could take 6 months to get!
