The rules suggest that multipliers count once by
band, regardless of mode. As such, there may be no
incentive to move to CW, so long as there are callers
or stations to work on SSB - as rates are usually
higher on SSB.
Without extra points, or extra multipliers, for CW,
there's a risk of getting token Mixed entries with
90% or more SSB QSOs.
In the Mixed section of IOTA, QSO points are independent
of mode but CW mults count separately.
In the Mixed section of the ARRL 10m contest, not only
do CW QSOs score double points, but CW mults count
separately.
When the results are tabulated separately by SSB, CW
and Mixed, with no "overall" table, the extra points
(or multipliers) for CW will not distort the results.
