[UK-CONTEST] Short Contest Calls.

I used our club scc GW6W in cqww cw last year, and also in arrl dx (cw). I like to mix pc CQing with paddle sending to avoid boredom and found I was working quite a few dupes even from some of the 'A listers' towards the end.
I found afterwards that my call was being misread by some skimmers, and I'm sure this was causing the problem. I found GW6WGW and even W6GW or something similar which elicited calls from Europeans in arrl dx. Apparently short calls like contest calls are far more susceptible to being misinterpreted by the skimmer software when timing isn't 100%.
Hopefully my cw isn't totally rubbish, and I'm sure the call would have been obvious if they'd have actually listened as well as reading their skimmer feed...
