Well, what an evening! Everything just seemed to work for team M0GVG/P last
night. Somehow we arrived on site with plenty of time to spare. It wasn't
raining and the temperature was mild, though it was a little breezy and we
were well into the cloud layer (someone commented that it was like being
inside a paper bag). Station set up went well and by the time we all sat in
the car, ready to kick off, we even had 8 minutes to spare...a short period
of looking at each other wondering how that happened followed.
>From the outset there was a continuous queue of two to three stations and a
Q rate of over one per minute was maintained for the first hour and a
quarter.
Conditions favoured the south to a noticeable degree, with only GM4JR being
worked in GM, regardless of some fairly long periods spent calling in that
direction.
It was pleasing to see a good turn out from JO02 and number of other
unfamiliar stations added to the overall result, including a second station
in IO64. Both IO80 and IO90 were worked, which is an uncommon pairing.
Nothing heard from IO70/71 nor IN89, JO00, JO03 or IO95.

I have to say that yesterday evening's event was probably the most enjoyable
6M AC to date.

Roger, G0BSU
