Actually, no. Those of us who use threaded email readers that uses the
text in the subject line (rather than the reply-to codes in the header)
- here Pegasus Mail - come unstuck. Pegasus Mail filters on the first x
characters of the subject. [UK-CONTEST][VHF] plus a few re:'s and
spam:'s would use up most of those characters, so everything would end
up in the same thread - unless I spend ages fiddling with Pegasus's
exceptions. OK, I could easily filter everything with [VHF] in it and
route it to the recycle bin, so it is not a show stopper. More
important, how many of us, especially new users, would actually do it,
and others thinking they are clever add it to existing threads causing
it to go in a new thread.
If people used appropriate subject lines anyway they would end up
threaded properly and I could make my own mind up which to delete
without reading.
And yes, please NO FORUM...
