[UK-CONTEST] Separate reflectors?

Hello all

Just catching up with e-mails after 48 hrs of CQ WW. I am strongly in
favour of separate reflectors - I am an ex-VHF contester from the 80s and
90s but now concentrate on HF contesting. (I will be on for the Marconi 2m
CW contest, but when you are 850km from London, M5 or M6 is an irrelevance -
I am just glad to work anyone)

With all due respect to those who think otherwise, there is no real 'common
ground' between HF and VHF contesting. I have seen no real evidence of
'cross-fertilisation' of ideas (perhaps with the exception of IT
innovations) and the idea that 50MHz is in some way a link between the two
is simply not true. 50MHz is, quite rightly, a world of its own.

Any important issues e.g. the future format of the Contest Committee or
subcommittees, could easily be discussed on both reflectors, from different
perspectives.
