Which filters do you have in the two rigs?

The harshness of the K3 on SSB is due to the sharp corners of the DSP 
passband, but there are ways around that by fitting a narrower SSB 
roofing filter.

When I sold the 1000MP, I kept back the Inrad 1.8kHz SSB filter to try 
in the K3... and am very glad I did! After a bit of setting-up it makes 
the K3 very comfortable to listen to in heavy contest QRM, for hours on 
end.
