Yes, plenty of support, but why?

Is it because the contest is at the end of the European holiday month of 
August, because there are a a wide range of categories for entrants to 
operate in ?

Maybe the CC should take a leaf out of DARC's book and align the RSGB FD 
such that there are QRP & Assisted & Non Assisted categories?

Either way the Germans are doing something right.
