Some great ideas here, Bill.  As someone who has recently relocated to
the Dallas area I have had a tough time finding locals on 6/2 ssb, or
local nets.  I'm not sure whether I'm looking in the wrong place on the
net or on the bands.  It is hard to believe there is nothing going on in
the area, I think the problem is I have been unable to find it.

Does anyone have any ideas for VHF weak signal and/or contesting
operations in the North Texas area?
