Take another look at the Tokyo Hi Power sight. They have an a HF 6m amp that
requires only 5 watts in
I do not have the model number . If you don't see it ask. I have a friend
N2DY DON bought one and is very pleased with it

I'm also looking for a 6m amp for my 817.  So far I have seen one by Tokyo
that
is rated for 10 watts input.  I have found schematics from the ARRL website
to
build a six meter amp for 5-10 in and 100+ out.

For some reason, 6m amps seem to be harder to find then 2m or 70cm.
