Ron,

I have to disagree on this.  In my experience participation in my area of
the south  is much less than it was in the mid 90's.  At least on 2 meters
this is so.  For example, I did not work anyone in west Florida, Alabama,
Mississippi or Louisiana this last contest that I normally work.
