[VHFcontesting] stacking 2m & 6m & rotator questions

Hello to all, new to this list.  Got a couple of questions for people that
have done this already. This would be for fixed station use with limited
space.  Would like to put up a couple of beams, the lower one being a three
element beam for six and the top one a 4 or so element for two.  Both are on
the same vertical mast.  Here come the questions:  according to ARRL books,
the spacing of the beams should be half the length of the boom (2m). Another
question, could I get away with a radio shack rotor and a thrust bearing to
turn this?  Where I am, it is common to get 25+ MPH winds, so it wouldn't be
too fun to keep working on antennas due to a rotator that strips it's gear
and spins round and round. If the radio shack rotator is not up to snuff, is
the mfj/higain one any better?  Any good recommendations here, as I might
get larger antennas in the future. Perhaps the group might share their
experiences good and bad with me?  Worked Idaho with a dipole in the June
QSO Contest and heard Alberta, think I am getting the itch.  Will be in Yuba
County CM99 for Field Day (2m & 6m +HF) if anyone needs that one.  Thank you
