The preamp transistor in my 12+ year old 1452G was recently replaced with a MGF1302 with good results.

Subject: [VHFcontesting] Front end of TE Brick
Does anyone happen to know what the preamp part is in a TE Systems 1452G
(2m) brick is? It is marked as "Ax" in a orange color ink and is a
4-terminal device that looks like a typical GaAsFET. I suspect I've smoked
mine and want to put in a replacement.
Thanks,
Steve
