Maybe both CQ and the ARRL should keep it simple.....any VHF band, any UHF band, any band above UHF or change the names of their contests

ham band in all of region 2 (North and South America) so it is an
international band. There are also countries that don't have 6m as a ham
and (Kuwait for one) so maybe that should be excluded from an international
contest.

The response was that since it is a Worldwide Contest and 222 is only an
amateur band in the U.S. they couldn't include it. I'm assuming the same
reasoning holds for 70Mhz.

from the CQ VHF contest. The irony here is that 432 and above are included
in the ARRL "VHF" contest and really shouldn't be if it's really a VHF
contest. VHF frequencies go to 300Mhz. And then of course, 222Mhz, a VHF
freq. is included in the ARRL's UHF contest. Does it seem like Newington has
things all screwed up? Certainly more so than CQ.

be roving for this one and probably not for future contests until some rules
are changed. ( So that means, most likely, that the N8AG rover is QRT)
