If that's not a great display of enlightenment, then I don't know what is. ;-)

The _nature of contesting_ on HF and VHF is exactly the same: making as many contacts as possible within a given time frame.

> The prop logger pages, spotting pages, realtime scheduling

Ah, now I see why you want HFers out of the world of VHF, they make contesting too challenging while you need a bunch of crutches to rack up a few contacts.

What you want is go deer hunting and want to be able to call up your buddy to put a deer right in front of your gun at a given time, so all you have to do is to aim and shoot.

> VHF contesting should about making the contact now about HOW you found
> the station on the other end.

Right, you prefer deer hunting on a deer farm, rather than going into the woods and enjoy the challenge of hunting down the deer you want to end up on your dinner plate.

> Either you can work them, or you can't.
> If you can work a station, how you found out that he was there is
> immateriel.

So all you want is just a simple target practicing session without the inconvenience of the hunt. This HFer gets it now.
