I have 3 Rubidium 10meg frequency standards. There actually is 2 reference
oscillators mounted in a 24" rack drawer, one oscillator is the rubidium and
is cross locked to a hi-stab oven oscillator. They were used in a digital
cellular system and are extremely accurate. I have tested them and they work
fine compared to my GPS standard. They do have some advantages over GPS
standards having no outside antennas, no worries about seeing satellites and
no exposure to lightning, although GPS is the newer solution to frequency
standards. They require 24-26vdc at 2amps (1 amp if the oven unit is
removed) and put out >+10dbm. I am bringing these to the North East Weak
Signal picnic tomorrow in Enfield CT and if you are going and interested in
one, email me and I will save one for you. If you are not attending and are
interested in one, email me and if they do not sell I will send you one. I
believe the price is fair, $75 plus shipping should I have to do so. Great
to freq lock beacons or transverters. The single unit removed from drawer is
quite small.
