Yes, as W5WVO points out, the current ARRL VUCC and FFMA awards do not
recognize rovers. While rovers provide activation of many/most of the rare
grids for fixed stations they do not share in the awards program. In
recognition of this gap the Central States VHF Society established the
Reverse VUCC Award just for rovers. Full information about this fun
program can be found at http://www.csvhfs.org/CSVHFVUC.HTML - you do not
have to be a CSVHFS member to participate. While you are checking out the
rules make sure to click on the VUCC/R Honor Roll link.

In summary, with this awards program rovers can work on their CSVHFS VUCC/R
award while helping fixed stations with their ARRL VUCC and FFMA awards -
one of those rare win-wins.

Over the last few years I've been playing with the uW aspects of this
program and its been a hoot. There is nothing like the open road, a nice
summer day, towering cumulonimbus, and having your 10 gig dish along for
the ride.
