Nate - In practice, 222 MHz is a much better choice to add to 6M, 2M
and 432 MHz to make up a four band rover than is 1296 MHz. The reason
is simple, while there may be more ops on 1296 MHz than 222 MHz in a
given area, power is much easier and less expensive to generate on 222
MHz than 1296 MHz, so the number of ops accessible for the same
investment is greater on 222 MHz than on 1296 MHz.

I am a limited rover who has just bought a TS-2000X. I will compete in
the Classic Rover category. The challenge of adding another band is
greater than the advantages of staying with 4 bands, no matter what
they be.

I am looking forward to meeting you at HamCon 2009 Colorado. We should
have some good tales to swap. - Duffey
