The Transfox SDR transceiver appears to have a 1 GHz IF!

Starting at about page 40 there is info on SDR and microwave 
applications of the Synfox.
This is very innovative.  It looks like this company is gearing up for a 
very different approach
to microwaves than the usual ham transceiver plus individual 
transverters for each band.
