I don't "Buy In" to your rebuttal one iota!
You obviously have no idea what it takes to do the job, how IMPORTANT reader input IS!, and the motivation for doing it in the first place.....
You do the job out of love for the hobby and a desire to give back and grow something your passionate about! Weak Signal VHFing...
I never said he was above reproach, but your comments should be addressed to him, not spewed in public as bitching about why don't you this and why don't you that....
Get off your butt and make a contribution to the art of "Weak Signal VHF" like the rest of us and stop whinning!

Sorry, but I don't buy into the idea that it's the responsibility of
operators to supply a columnist with submissions. The original criticism
of the current column was that they were basically just summaries of
openings, and lacking any sort of motivation, encouragement to improve
your station, and/or information on how to do so. I think that criticism
is valid.
Also, no one forced anyone to agree to write the column. Being the
editor of the prestigious "World Above 50 MHz" column is an honor, and
holding that position should not automatically shield the editor from
critique.
