[VHFcontesting] Logging Rovers in Contests

No, operating as a Rover doesn't change your call, but it does change your status as a station.

So that when you work the same station twice on the same band, you had better be in a different grid. Otherwise, the contact will not count.

Only Rover status allows you to do that, which is signified by "/R" and by communicating that status to the other station.

Play the game otherwise, and you will lose.

K6NC (sometimes /R)

Just because I am a rover doesn't change my call. I have to log the call is all the rule says. That's what I will do. Interesting conversation though. If you log KK6MC when you have actually worked KK6MC/r, you have logged the incorrect call. KK6MC/r and KK6MC are two different calls. You stand the risk of the log checkers declaring the QSO void or nil because you did not copy the correct call as indicated by your log entry.
