HI Walt,

Rex VK7MO has used Q65-15C on 144 MHz with good result for Au contacts.  
He said that he used Tx and Rx audio freq set to 700 to ensure that the 
Q65 tones remained within the passband of the radios at both ends in the 
presence of the Doppler shift/spread. Over a 2 hour period he had an 
average Doppler offset of +300 Hz

I am sure that Rex would be interested in hearing from anyone who tries 
this here in the States, and I am also sure he'd be delighted to offer 
advice if asked.

Given the Doppler shift/spread present with Au and given the Doppler 
shift tolerance of Q65-15C as shown in Fig 3 of the following reference 
it is not surprising that Q65-15C works for this purpose:
