Despite poor condx with the rain and QSB, I was surprised to
log as many as I did. But I'm always amazed how Dave is able
to work everything I hear and more from 165 miles further !
Here's my log from last night:

K1FSY FN31, K1WHS FN43, WA1RKS FN32, WB2VVV FN41,
K1PXE FN31, WA3NUF FN20, N3EXA FN20, W1GHZ FN34,
WA1MBA FN51, N2SLO FN32, W9KXI FN12, WA3EOQ FM09,
KA1SUN FN32, W1AIM FN34, VE2XX FN25, KO4YC FM17,
N1YCQ FN41, N1DPM FN32. Heard VE3DS weakly but no QSO.

A bit after 8, I QSY'd to 144.250 to check into KD4AA's net,
and worked K2CKA FM06. David was a good 57, norrmally 52-53
at best. But no such signal peaks on 222. TNX for the QSOs.

Subject: [NEWSVHF] 222 Night Wrap Up K1WHS

> Another 222 Activity night is in the bag! I managed to drive up to the
shack in style. It went up early as the Moon was setting right around
00:00 UT, and KA6U had mentioned that he would be on testing his new 222
MHz rover setup. K3SK was also QRV and N0AKC and W5ZN showed up as well
for KA6U.  WOuldn't you know but Peter was late and missed his best time
when the TV station RFI is not bad.  We almost made a contact, but the
TV stations in Tampa wiped us out!!  The good news was that K3SK made
his first 222 EME contact.  Here is a summary of the activity from up
here in the Pine Tree State.  22 stations worked on 222.

0056    VE3DS    FN03    CW  weak sigs and Dana could not hear me. No QSO
0105    VE3DS    FN03    CW  solid 559 both ways.  tropo   440 miles I think
0110    WA1PBU    FN42    SSB
0112    WA3NUF    FN20    SSB good signals Tropo
0126    VE2XX        FN25    SSB    Tropo

It started snowing about 00:30 and there was a nice coating on the
ground when I drove home around 0200 UT.   On Wednesday night we are
expecting a foot of snow. Probably no 222 nite for me next week.  The
first two weeks in March I am away and not able to be on for the Tuesday
evening fun. I shpuld be QRV on March 21.   I am glad that I was able to
catch many evenings this winter.
