[WriteLog] usb?

I am trying to connect my pk232 mbx to the computer using the usb port
the soft ware wants the com port number
and will not let me install the software
using windows 98 and the aea 5.1 soft ware for the pk232
do i need a newer version of soft ware?
or is there a way when it asks for the port that i can tell it  that i
am using a usb port?
the usb port works fine till i try to install the pk232
also the write log soft ware tells me that aea232 has to have a port
number
or at least a port number for cw
