Basically, my problem is that my Targus Port Replicator reports Serial on
USB [COM 1] and occasionally [COM 2]. Writelog will recognize either of
these and allow me to set up the Port for controlling my FT1000MP MKV.
However, Writelog reports NO RIG. If I use another computer, with an
onboard COM port. It allows me to control the rig. It seems that Writelog
has to be tricked into seeing this (USB) port as a true COM 1 or COM 2. I
thought perhaps that a (DOS) MODE setting could be made, but I don't see an
option to redirect a serial port designation with it. I still have to find
out why the COM port setting changes each time I reboot.

I want to be able to use my Toshiba Satellite 2805-S202 and the replicator
to control the rig. How have others resolved this problem?
