[WriteLog] SO2R with RITTY and MMTTY

Jim, Mike and others, here are my observations and the solution to sound
board Line in  level setting I've used for years. I got an inexpensive
Optimus SA-155 compact stereo amp. and connected it to the rear audio out of
my 1000D (100 mV constant) with the amp out to the S.B. Line in.
I can adjust the level at any time for best results.

Since I started using simultaneous MMTTY/RITTY receive (SO1R, but set up as
2 radios), I've found that When MMTTY is happy, RITTY is and vice versa.
Setting MMTTY to just overload occasionally, or just below overload will
usually show the same condition running RITTY (the full-up program) and
observing it's level indicator for flashes of red.

With both programs set to the same level, RITTY not only has no problem with
weak signals, in my case it usually copies more correct characters under
adverse conditions than does MMTTY. With my location and antennas there are
plenty of opportunities to compare weak signal performance!!

Any small amp with a volume control would work, of course, and the nice
thing is it also makes easy work setting up for other digital programs.
