Hi,

K4OOO's is "almost" ready to rumble in the ARRL Roundup ...

Almost in that we can't seem to get his IC-761 to key up with
AFSK and WL ...

What we know ... P-166, 64m RAM, WL10.28, sound card
using stereo AFSK ... rig is tracking fine as to freq. and mode.

We are going into/out of the IC761 via the ACC1 jack using
pins 4 and 5 for xmit and rcve, and pin 2 for ground ...

The soundcard is now decoding FB ... the wide band works
well also ... we watched AA5AU work stations this evening
and K4OOO now sees the advantage of using both 'windows'
by watching what each caught or missed during AU's QSOs.

The soundcard is sending tones to the rig ... we can hear the tones
with headphones at the SPEAKER OUT on the sound card, or by
manually putting the IC761 into transmit via the footswitch or the
manually engaging the front panel T/R switch ...

Alt-K works as to sending, not sending ... the rig just won't key via
VOX or ????? We see the tone levels (mid-range) going out of the
sound card to the rig when looking at the record/volume windows.

"LSB is really FSK" is checked, and we tried using the 761
in both RTTY (Icom front panel) and LSB ... but no joy yet ...

Now prepared for the "gentle slap to the forehead" and be
reminded of what we have overlooked ... <gently please>

TU ... Solve this folks and we have yet another NEW RTTY
contester on board ... and hopefully in time for the Roundup !
