[WriteLog] Writelog and mmtty hangs

MAYBE this will shed a tiny bit more light?  I have that problem on one
machine, but not another.  I have the problem with the newer WIN2000
machine, but I don't have it with the older WIN98 machine.  And I don't have
it nearly so often as Bill does.  It's fairly rare here - For the 48 hr
contest, I would say it only happened "occasionally".  It would sure bug me
if it happend every 10 times.  Sounds like it's machine and/or
OS -dependent, so it will surely be difficult to track down.  73 - John
