[WriteLog] WL not saving configuration "right"

The default behaviour in Windows XP (both home and professional)
is that the ALT shortcut keys are NOT underlined in the menu.

When you press the ALT key all keystrokes that are tied to that
key are then underlined (in the menu bar).

If you click on a menu item the underline does not appear
(because you used a mouse versus a keyboard).

You may also notice some applications do not follow
this behaviour - and the underlined letters appear always.

Been a while since I did any Windows programming ...
maybe someone who's familiar with Visual C or Basic
and the OS interface can shed some light?
